The herd

Like many researchers, I fell into this line of work by accident really – but now I work in research, I can’t imagine doing anything else! I love the variety of what we do, the challenge of learning about new products and new services, having the opportunity to immerse ourselves in our subjects, getting to know our clients and what they need and then actually seeing the impact of a project. I am proud to have set up zebra square and I am proud of my team for continuing it! I want our clients to share in our enthusiasm for the work we do.

Likes: Cooking, food, wine, reading, research (of course!)

Object: I chose a pack of cards because each card has its own history, the pack is versatile and you never get the same outcome twice….plus I’m not adverse to a game of poker!

I have been a part of Zebra for 3 years now. I started on the telephone team which was a great introduction to the type of work we carry out here. I am now involved in all aspects of project oversight, from the initial set up stages to the gathering and presenting of the findings. My particular passion within my job role is carrying out focus groups, as I get to talk about all sorts of weird and wonderful subjects. Thanks to this, there’s little I can’t make a conversation about (you don’t want to be stuck in a lift with me!)

Likes: Exploring Europe, wine tasting and watching documentaries about everything!

Object: I love travelling and have been lucky enough to go inter railing these past few summers. Europe is fascinating and I love making new memories in new places. I am always planning new trips and seeing where next I can have an adventure. I love being a tourist!

Like many of our more experienced team, I started life at Zebra as a member of the telephone interviewing team and have progressed to my current role, which encompasses as more all-round approach to all things research. My main focus and interest is based around the qualitative research we undertake, be it in-depth interviews over the phone or face to face.

Likes: I enjoy most sports with a particular passion for running and football.

Object: My spikes hopefully help me run that bit quicker!

My day to day role at Zebra Square involves setting up and overseeing various projects and tasks within the CATI team. I am involved in qualitative and quantitative research projects from planning to completion. This includes aspects such as questionnaire design, in depth interviewing, coordinating fieldwork and ensuring we meet project objectives.

Likes: Sport, reading, food, nature, astronomy.

Object: I chose a set of golf clubs to symbolise how a range of tools and approaches can be used to overcome different obstacles.

Part of the furniture at Zebra Square having worked here for over 7 years. My role allows me to really submerge myself in words and numbers, working on both qualitative and quantitative research projects – it’s all interesting and insightful stuff! I enjoy the variety the job brings and the satisfaction of being a cog in a fully-fledged research wheel.

Likes: Reading (self-confessed bookworm), travelling and indulging in a good boxset.

Object: (Box of chocolates) Other than having an incredibly sweet tooth, a box of chocolates represents variety, richness and the ability to indulge – all things I love!

As a gregarious, energetic, straight talking person, job satisfaction is inevitable in my role. I manage a diverse team of people all with excellent communication skills. Together we approach each unique new project understanding our client’s expectations. A polite, honest and friendly attitude brings each project to a timely conclusion.

Likes: Cooking, African arts and crafts, creative machine embroidery, mixed media painting, cake decorating and travel. Swimming and walking keep me fit.

Object: My chosen object is my favourite piece of jewellery, a Nautilus shell set in silver. I feel an affinity towards the Nautilus, my favourite place to be is in the sea swimming and diving. The shell is able to adapt to various depths in the ocean. I am adaptable, able to enjoy new challenges in my life, from farming in Zimbabwe to an office environment in Harrogate, the change couldn’t be more distinct.

I have worked at Zebra Square for 5 years. I am responsible for all the financial aspects here. I really like my job as I am a numbers person with a great eye for detail. I enjoy my job as every day is different and sometimes challenging – which is what I like! I really enjoy being a part of the Zebra Square herd as we are all hard working and passionate.

Likes: Reading, watching my children play football, being busy.

Object: My paid stamp sums me up well as I am efficient, organised and enthusiastic about what I do.

Telephone is still the preferred methodology of most of our B2B respondents and our in house zebra CATI team provides a personal touch to telephone interviewing.  Each member is experienced in speaking to decision-makers at all levels across all sized businesses.  We carry out omnibus surveys across several sectors including small housebuilders, general builders, plumbing trades, small businesses, food and drink and agri businesses, and we can develop bespoke panels.  We offer “field only” jobs or full service with reporting and presentations.  Clients are welcome to meet the team and get involved in briefings!
